Selection of mud

Mud could be of any type but should have been taken from a neat and clean place exposed to sun rays,e from two to two and a half feet below the ground. It should be dried in sunlight then sieved before use.  The mud from the termites hill is extremely effective while for bathing and head bath multani mud is useful.

Various uses of mud

1. Sleeping in mud- it is extremely effective for insomnia, nervous weakness and blood poisoning.

2. Mud massage- by massaging and applying mud on the body harmful air and poisonous elements can be removed.

3. Mud bath- instead of soap if mud is applied it helps in removing all diseases.

4. Walking barefoot on mud- this helps in curing kidney ailment improving eyesight and increasing magnetic power. It should be done in the evening

5. Mud pack- it is important in naturopathy and is used against many diseases. For all the elements of the abdomen it is important. It is used on the lower abdomen, chest, forehead, eyes, head, spine, throat, feet, anus and wherever needed.

How to make a mud pack
Mud should be ground, sieved and then soaked in clean water 12 hours before use. At the time of use spread half an inch layer of this wet paste of mud on a thin cloth and put it on the spot where required. Then cover it with the woolen cloth. It should be kept for 20 30 minutes or else the toxin extracted by mud will re enter the body. Once used the mud pack cannot be used again.

Mud therapy for various diseases

1. Constipation- mudpack is useful in all types of constipation by applying it on the abdomen
2. Piles- the portion of anus where moles are swollen up mud pack as thick as a question can be struck. It gives relief in acute pain
3. Loose motion- mud has diverse properties. It cause constipation and also loose motions. while suffering from loose motions mudpack is to be put on the abdomen
4. Cholera- mud pack is to be put on the chest and abdomen
5. Stomach ache- mud pack is to be put on the abdomen for stomach ache
6. Fever- mud pack is to be put on the abdomen and forehead
7. Eczema- mud pack to be used on the affected area
8. Pimples - mud pack to be used on face and it cure pimples
9. Ailments of the eyes- tie the mud pack on the eyes closed
